InstructionsPlace apples in an 8x8x2-inch pan. Add cinnamon. Mix next 3 ingredients. Sprinkle over apples. Dot with butter or margarine. Cover with unbaked pastry rolled 1/8-inch thick (2 inches larger than diameter of pan). Trim, turn under, and flute edge. Cut a vent in pastry to allow for escape of steam. Bake in a very hot oven (450F) 10 minutes. Reduce heat to moderate (350F) and bake 40 minutes or until apples are tender. |
