American Sand Tarts

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, mixing well. Stir in flour. Chill dough thoroughly.

Roll dough very thin and cut with 2.5 inch round cutter. Brush centers of rounds with egg white and sprinkle nuts with a trace of cinnamon.

Place cookies a half-inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (400F) about five minutes. Remove cookies to cooling racks.
