InstructionsHeat oven to 400F. Generously butter a shallow 2-quart baking dish. Toss bread crumbs with 1 tablespoon of the melted butter in small bowl with fork until crumbs are evenly moistened. Set aside. Place fish in baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle lemon juice and remaining melted butter evenly over fish. Place lemon slices flat in corners of dish. Bake 8 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 425F. Baste fish with juices in baking dish. Turn lemon slices over. Sprinkle bread crumbs evenly over fish. Bake until bread crumbs are lightly browned and fish is just opaque in center, 7 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately. Garnish each serving with one of the baked lemon slices. |
