1poundground chuck
1tablespoonbutter or margarine
1⁄4cupgreen pepper (diced)
1⁄4cupinstant minced onion
2 1⁄2teaspoonsalt
1⁄4teaspoonground black pepper
1⁄4teaspooninstant minced garlic
3 1⁄2cupcanned tomatoes
1cupelbow macaroni (uncooked)
1⁄2cupcheddar cheese (diced)


Brown meat in butter or margarine in a 2-1/2 quart saucepan. Add next 7 ingredients, mix well and cook, covered, 20 minutes or until macaroni is tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in cheese. Serve hot as the main dish.
