1ouncesemisweet chocolate
1cupbutter (or margarine)
1 3⁄4cupsugar
1cupall-purpose flour
4 eggs
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1⁄4teaspoonbutter flavoring
1 1⁄2cuppecans (chopped)


Combine chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Cool mixture slightly.

Combine sugar, flour, eggs, and flavorings in a large mixing bowl. Add chocolate mixture, stirring until batter is smooth. Stir in pecans. Spoon batter into paper-lined muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 325F for 35 minutes.
