1cupsuperfine sugar
7cupcold water
1 3⁄4cupfresh lemon juice (from about 12 lemons)
1⁄2cupfresh lime juice (from about 3 limes)
1 1⁄2cuplight rum


Stir sugar in 1 cup of the water in large pitcher or punch bowl until dissolved. Stir in remaining water, the lemon juice, lime juice, and rum. Serve cold
