Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

2tablespoonbutter (or margarine)
1tablespoononions (minced)
2tablespoonflour
1tablespoonmustard
1⁄8teaspoonblack pepper
14ounceconsommé (1 can)
1⁄4cuplight cream (or evaporated milk)

Instructions

Cook onions in butter for 2 minutes over medium heat, stirring. Blend in flour, mustard, pepper, and then consommé. Cook, stirring, until smooth and thickened. Stir in light cream and season to taste.

Notes

Also good on mashed potatoes or rice.
