Sherried Mushrooms

1⁄2cuptomato sauce
1⁄4cupolive oil
1⁄4cupdry sherry
1⁄8teaspooncayenne pepper
2teaspoondry mustard
  salt and pepper (to taste)
1⁄2cupheavy cream
1 1⁄2poundmushrooms (quartered)


In a large skillet, combine tomato sauce, olive oil, sherry, cayenne and mustard. Heat thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer over low heat for 3 minutes. Stir in cream and mushrooms. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for an additional 3 minutes. Serve immediately.
