1 envelope onion soup mix (or onion-mushroom soup mix (2 ounces))
1⁄4cupolive oil (or vegetable oil)
1tablespoonlime juice (or lemon juice)
1⁄2teaspoongarlic powder
2 chicken breasts (skinless and boneless - cut into thin strips)
10ouncefrozen mixed vegetables (partially thawed and drained)
1⁄2cupspaghetti sauce (i.e. pasta sauce)
1⁄4cupred wine


In a large skillet, blend together the soup mix, oil, water, lime juice, and garlic powder; let stand for 5 minutes. Bring to a boil, then stir in the chicken, vegetables, spaghetti sauce, and wine. Cook, uncovered, for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the chicken is fork-tender and no pink remains. Serve over hot cooked rice.
