InstructionsCook the spaghetti in boiling salted water. Drain and return it to the saucepan. Off the heat, pour the melted butter over it. Mix the cheese with the spaghetti. Add the bacon or sausage to the spaghetti and cheese. Add the cracker meal, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Beat the eggs and add them to the mixture. Mix well. Butter a deep circular cake pan or baking dish and dust it with cracker meal. Carefully fill the mold with the spaghetti mixture and bake in a heated 375F oven for at least 30 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes and unmold the timbale onto a serving platter. |
