1⁄4cupolive oil
1clovegarlic (chopped)
1smallonion (chopped)
4sprigparsley (chopped)
1⁄4cupcelery tops (chopped)
28ouncecan whole tomatoes in puree
  basil (chopped)
2tablespoontomato paste


In oil: saute garlic, onion, parsley, celery, salt and pepper until onion is golden. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and water. Simmer 10 minutes. Taste for salt and pepper.
