Ingredients

1⁄2cupsalt pork
2 onions
2 potatoes
2cupboiling water
2cupcanned corn, or frozen
2cupmilk
2tablespoonflour
2cupcanned tomatoes
1⁄8teaspoonsoda
1 common cracker, pounded to a dust

Instructions

Try out salt pork cut in fine shreds and sauté the chopped onion in the flat. Add potato, cut fine, and boiling water, and cook until tender. Add corn, milk and powdered cracker, and thicken with flour blended with cold water. Heat the tomato and add to chowder with soda and seasonings.
