Ingredients

750millilitrered wine (i.e. 1 bottle)
1⁄2cupsweet vermouth (or 3 tablespoons sweet madeira)
1⁄2cupsugar
1⁄3cupdark raisins
1⁄4cupalmonds (sliced)
6 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1⁄4cupvodka (or more to taste)

Instructions

Combine all ingredients except the vodka in large noncorrosive saucepan; cover and reserve at room temperature overnight. At serving time, heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add vodka. Serve at once.

Notes

Preparation time does not include overnight sitting time.
