Barbecued Spareribs II

Ingredients

3poundspareribs
2teaspoonsalt
1⁄4teaspoonpepper
1⁄3cuponion (chopped)
8ouncetomato sauce
2tablespoonchili sauce
2teaspoonvinegar
1⁄2teaspoonworcestershire sauce
1dashtabasco

Instructions

Break rib bones for serving. Wipe clean with damp paper towel; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Cut ribs into 2 or 3 rib serving pieces. Place in a shallow baking pan; cover with aluminum foil.

Bake in hot oven (400F) 45 minutes. Drain off excess fat.

Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients; pour over spareribs. Continue baking uncovered about 45 minutes more, or until very tender. Turn meat once.
