Basic Soy Sauce Marinade (Hawaii)

Ingredients

1tablespoondry mustard
1teaspoonsugar
1tablespoonfresh ginger (grated)
1mediumonion (peeled and grated)
1⁄4teaspoonmsg
1cupsoy sauce

Instructions

First, mixed mustard with enough water to make a paste. Add mustard, sugar, ginger, grated onion and MSG to the soy sauce. Let stand overnight for best results. A glass jar with the screwtop is a good container. If you are unable to obtain fresh ginger, try dried ginger but use less.

Preparation time does not include optional overnight wait.
