12ouncebeer (ale, lager or wheat)
1⁄2cupcanola oil (or corn oil)
1⁄4cupminced onion
1 lemon zested
1tablespoongarlic salt


Stir together all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Pour the mop into a lided glass jar to store. Shake before using to baste flank steak, pork tenderloins, or chicken breasts on the grill or in the smoker. Or use it as a marinade, for the same foods. Will keep indefinitely, refrigerated.
