Canadian Meatballs in Sharp Sauce

Ingredients

1poundbeef or venison (finely chopped)
1cupfine dried breadcrumbs
1teaspoonsalt
1⁄4teaspoonpepper
1⁄2cupmilk
4tablespoonflour
1pintbrown stock
1⁄2cupketchup
1cupsour cream

Instructions

Mix chopped meat with breadcrumbs, adding salt and pepper; then the milk. Make into 2 dozen cakes and fry in butter until Brown. Remove meat cakes from pan, and stir flour into butter in which cakes were fried. When flour is smooth, add stock, ketchup and sour cream. Simmer the meat cakes in the sauce for 30 seconds.
